Why do plants need it?

• Helps with the formation and stabilization of cell walls.
• Required for new growth to be healthy
• Helps with the uptake of calcium and nitrate

What a deficiency causes.

• New and younger growth affected first
• Leaves become spotted and new growth dies soon after forming
• Looks similar to calcium deficiency (water testing is indicated)

What Causes a deficiency?

• Lack of boron in the system
• High pH can lock it out

When levels are too high.

• Leaves will look glossy or waxy
